Is Your Child a Happy Camper? They Could Be!

The expression "I am not a happy camper" has just been given a whole new meaning. As a food allergy parent, nothing is more difficult than finding safe options for your children. This includes activities and camps. After all, most people have fond memories of how they spent their summer at camp, right? For many, there are no options of a safe summer camp or the chance to be able to go to a camp...until now.

I am pleased to share the news that from February 19 - March 18, 2014 Rudi's Gluten Free Bakery is giving your child a chance to attend a gluten-free camp.

How Does My Child Enter? Fans are encouraged to submit a 100-word essay from their child explaining "what makes them special" for a chance to win a one-week scholarship to attend a gluten-free overnight camp from the camps that are included in the list (see below). Simply complete the online form, click submit and begin thinking positive thoughts.

Who Can Enter? The Happy Camper contest is open to legal residents of the United States and Canada between the ages of 8 and 17 who have a gluten intolerance and/or Celiac Disease. The offer is void in Florida, Alaska, Hawaii, New York, Puerto Rico and where restricted or prohibited by law.

What Camps are Part of the Scholarships? Great question, here are the camps-
Camp Kanata - Wake Forest, North Carolina
Camp Sealth - Vashon Island, Washington
Camp Wekaneatit - Georgia
Gluten-Free Fun Camp - Minnesota
Camp Celiac - Rhode Island

And Canada, What About Canada? No worries, there are some for you too!
